Photos: we all click them to store and reminisce our old memories. But, ever wondered how will you secure these files?
I mean, sure you have the option of setting your files into a secure folder on your phone or hiding them in a disk drive on a Windows laptop/PC.
But, what if someone infiltrated through your phone’s security, or managed to gain access to your laptop? How will you stop people from leaking your private moments?
This is where you need to step up your game and look for new ways to create and secure your photo albums, one of which is using MS Word.
How can MS Word Help in Securing Your Photo Album?
MS Word is a popular word-editing software given in the Office 365 package. It is commonly used to write, share, and edit textual/visual data. However, it can also be used to secure your images in a simple but effective manner.
Upload the Files
First, choose the photos that you need to convert and secure to your MS Word photo album.
These files can be heavy, however, the overall size of the document can reach ginormous sizes on storage. So, keep that thing in mind.
After you’re ready with the files, click on the Insert -> Pictures tab to upload the photos one by one to a blank Word document.
Arrange Photos in an Orderly Manner
Uploading the images isn’t difficult, but properly arranging them is. For that, you need to spend some time resizing, cropping, or adding some artistic effects to your uploaded images. This might take some time to conclude so be patient.
I also suggest that you add proper captions, or arrange the photos in chronological order so that you can follow the album later on with ease.
As an example, take a look at the screenshot below where I attached 4 sample pictures to the Word document from Pexels.com.
If you are curious how I perfectly aligned all pictures along with their captions, I used the Photo Gallery Add-in for Word by GregMexey.com. However, you can do this process manually just fine.
Set Password for Security
Finally, it is time to put a password to your Word document and protect it for security purposes.
For that, you need to go to the File -> Protect Document Tab and select the ‘Encrypt with Password’ option from the drop-down menu.
Then, you will be prompted to enter a password that needs to be entered before this document is opened.
As an example, I used the passcode ‘Iwantsafety’ to open the file (case-sensitive.) So, the next time I clicked on my photo album, MS Word prompted me to put the password first before viewing any data.
Is There a Quick Way to Do Photo to Word Conversion?
Yes, you can do photo-to-word conversions very quickly by using online JPG to Word converters. These tools will automatically upload, arrange, and add captions to your photos in the album without any problem.
With that said, nowadays finding a good tool is very difficult. Not only will you suffer from trial periods expiring, but also bad functionality that can sometimes compress or even hide the uploaded images from the Word document.
To combat this, I searched relentlessly until I settled on the following tool to convert photo to Word.
When on the main page, simply upload the files through the ‘Browse’ button, or fetch an image directly from the web.
Then, crop the files if you have to and proceed with the conversion by clicking the ‘Convert’ button.
After that, the final step is to click the ‘Download All’ drop-down button and select the option of ‘Word File.’ This will save the photos to a singular .doc document, creating a photo album.
Now, put on the password in the same manner I showed before to secure your images and safeguard them against potential leaks.
Final Words
Creating and securing a photo album in MS Word involves a simple yet effective process. First, upload the desired photos into a blank document and arrange them systematically. Next, set a password to the file through the ‘Protect Document’ tab to ensure privacy.
Alternatively, you can also leverage online JPG to Word converters to make your photo album without worrying about uploading and formatting the images in a Word document.
That’s all from my side! I hope you enjoyed reading my post!
